  1. Since I’ve found the program on Survival Mom Radio (via The New Pioneer magazine) I make sure I tune in on Wednesdays. I enjoyed todays program because it is overwhelming for a beginner, a passion of the heart that consumes your thoughts because you want to do things right. This past week end was a struggle and a blessing combined. We had septic issues and had to get to the lid–via about 4 inches of snow and a couple of inches of ice–we made it and thankfully once there it was only a 5 minute fix, but now I know how to do the job if need be. Also, since we were dressed for outdoor work, we decided to get more wood. In the past I have pretty much left this to my husband and our boys, but I decided today was to be my learning day. I now know the basics of a chainsaw, and can bring down a small tree if need be. All in all a very positive day.
