As promised, ALL the posts from last week will be heavily shared on both Pinterest and across social media over the next week.

Thinking Out of the Jones's Box

Thank you to Kate for sharing from Considering The Wildflowers with her post titled Thinking Outside of the Jones’s Box.  I really enjoyed this because it is something I truly believe in..   We need to do what works best for ourselves and our families…  The neighbors, the community, the Jones’s really don’t matter…  It is the loved ones under your roof that matter and there is a LOT to be said about living simply and utilizing what you have!!    Thank you again Kate..  Blessings to you and yours!

Thanks so much for joining me.  I look forward to seeing what you all have to share today…

Dyeing-wool-with-plant-dyesDSC_5286-300x201

This weeks featured post is shared by Janet from Timber Creek Farm titled Dyeing Wool with Natural Plant Dyes.  This is something that really interests me, even fascinates me.  I have dyed things with teas, coffees and elderberries so far, but there are SO many things in the wild that can be used.  I love doing things naturally and this really appeals to me to learn more.  So when I saw Janet’s post I knew this was the one to share this week.  I, too, have been blessed with the book; A Garden To Dye For by Chris McLaughlin which I will be reviewing soon and I really can’t wait to dive in and learn more on what I can use to dye fabrics, doilies and more.  Also while visiting Janet’s page be sure to check out all her homemade goodies that she has for sale!  She makes AMAZING things!  Thank you again Janet for sharing your post and for faithfully joining me!!  Blessings to you and your family.

Be sure to spread the word and tell your friend’s!

I would LOVE to have 100 links to share next week across social media and Pinterest so share this weeks Mountain Woman Rendezvous EVERYWHERE!!

Thanks so much for joining me.  I look forward to seeing what you all have to share today…

Blessings,

Special One Year Celebration

The is week #50 – in 2 weeks we will be celebrating a year of the Mountain Woman Rendezvous and I would like to do something special.  I will be featuring several posts from over the past year on Week #52 and EVERYONE that shares a post here on week #52 will get shared on our Mountain Woman Rendezvous Pinterest page AND will get shared on our other social media…  Please refrain from posting giveaways or sales posts because they will not be featured.  So mark your calendar for June 25th to be sure to come and get entered and who knows there may be more perks to come… Stay tuned….

I’d like to make mention that the “3 Ingredient Bug Spray” that was featured last week is a GREAT SUCCESS!!  We used it this week and found that it does the trick.  Something to keep in mind though is if you do get sweaty you will want to reapply, but it worked really well.  In addition, it is not harmful in anyway to you and I thought it smelled good! So in my opinion we have a Win Win!

If any of you happen to need OnGuard Essential Oils you can find that in my store here:  http://trayerwilderness.com/doterra.  Just click Shop for Products and you can then search for OnGuard.  If you need help feel free to contact me at oils@trayerwilderness.com.

I had a hard time picking one this week, SO, I picked two…

I’d like to thank Kathi at OakHillHomestead.com for sharing her post Container Herb Garden in June.  I LOVE herbs and believe it or not we are still getting mild frosts…  So nothing is outside yet here in Idaho so I am living vicariously through people like Kathi and the rest of you with lush greens growing in your gardens and pots!!  Keep sharing them I love it!!!   Thank you again Kathi – Blessings to you and yours!

Christine your Cherry Chocolate Ice Cream already had my taste buds going just from your comment last week on what you shared.. lol…  Oh the power of chocolate and ice cream!  Thank your for taking the time to share your post from OnceUponATimeInABedOfWildFlowers.com.  Blessings to you and yours and thanks SO much for joining me every week!

I’d also like to make mention that PreppersSurvival.com contributed a great post entitled “Personal Defense Ideas“.  I feel that her thoughts on this could not be more dead on…  Knowledge is SO key and being prepared for ANYTHING is SO important.   I feel very strongly that women should be knowledgeable on protecting themselves and their families.  I feel that every woman should have a form of protection on their person at all times.  I have several posts and articles coming out on just this subject so stay tuned, but in the meantime be sure to review the link above from PreppersSurvival.com!  Thanks for sharing!!

Also before you leave today, I would love to personally invite you to my FREE webinar….

Mountain Woman Rendezvous #49 Featuring a 3 Ingredient Bug Spray

Mountain Woman Rendezvous Blog Hop at TrayerWilderness.comWelcome to

Mountain Woman Rendezvous!

Grab your tea and kick back..  Another week is here and we have had some wonderful shares.

Before I announce my featured post for this week, I would like to share with you something upcoming!

Special One Year Celebration

The is week #49 – in 3 weeks we will be celebrating a year of the Mountain Woman Rendezvous and I would like to do something special.

3 ingredient bug spray from For His Glory Homestead

A special thank you goes out to Tewauna from For His Glory Homestead for sharing her “3 Ingredient Bug Spray” last week.  We have inadvertently become mosquito farmers here in Idaho and I do not like the store brand insect repellents, we have tried the wrist bands and our own homemade Yarrow spray to no avail SO I was thankful to see yet another recipe I can try.  And this one uses essential oils no less and On Guard which is one I have readily on hand.   It is such a wonderful thing when you can make everything yourself to meet your families needs.  That is SO gratifying for me!  Tewauna I am a little envious (but happy for you by far) that you have such resources available to you as the essential oils that your friend is distilling.  That is AWESOME!   Blessings Tewauna to you and yours and thank you again for joining me!!

Something else I wanted to mention is my excitement for my new venture.  Although I prefer to do everything myself, one thing that I would have trouble doing right now is making professional grade essential oils.  So I have been blessed that the door has opened for me to become a part of doTERRA as of last week.  As a lot of you know, I forage from the wild and create our teas, tinctures and dried herbs so being able to add the essential oils to my herbal pantry has made me gitty.  If the event that you might also be interested in essential oils you can look here to see what is available and if you have any questions please feel free to email me at oils@trayerwilderness.com.

Mountain Woman Rendezvous #48 featuring 6 Reasons Plants Love Cinnamon

Mountain Woman Rendezvous Blog Hop at TrayerWilderness.comWelcome to

Mountain Woman Rendezvous!

Be sure to spread the word and tell your friend’s!

Thanks so much for joining me.  I look forward to seeing what you all have to share today…

Thankfully, after a night of rain, it appears it is going to be another sunny day here in Idaho.  Let’s hope because we have a lot of outside work to be done and our season comes late and our growing season scoots away fast!

Grab your favorite beverage and join me as I announce last weeks favorite post and PLEASE be sure to check out the other posts that are shared and share on yourself!

cinnamon uses Feathers In The Woods

I’d like to thank Lisa Murano of Feathers In The Woods for sharing her very informative post on Cinnamon titled “Spice It Up! Why Plants Love Cinnamon“.   Lisa we are very like minded, I feel like I am in the wrong era, but loving our lifestyle that we are creating in the modern day! ♥  Your post really stuck out to me because for one I LOVE cinnamon and use it on EVERYTHING and 2nd because it was very informative.  I wasn’t aware you could use the cinnamon for plants, but I did know about the ants and would like share another tidbit of usefulness with the cinnamon.  We have 3 bee hives and often the ants try to get in and enjoy our honey, cinnamon is a great deterrent in keeping the ants out and it does not affect the bees.  Thank you again Lisa for sharing!!  Blessings to you and yours!

Also,  today I’d like to ask my Prayer Warriors to please pray for my dear friend Marla!  Marla as well as several other dear friends of mine suffer daily from lyme disease.   The more you turn around today the more lyme disease and cancer is popping up.  Marla is struggling greatly with brain fog, pain, numbness in her body and is having to fight daily with our current health system to get treated.  Please pray for her strength, healing and that she may be a light to others behind her.

Thank you so much for joining me today and may you have a WONDERFUL day ahead of you!

Blessings,

Tam (MWJ) ♥ † <><
